Covid 19 Lockdown

This page is dedicated to the many people from the village who have taken pictures during the corona virus pandemic during March and April 2020. Government instructions were to stay at home and not spread the disease. The residents of Newborough rallied to the challenge and the pictures on this page will I hope give you a feel of how people coped with the restrictions.

EASTER 2020

The Series of pictures below are on the theme of Easter. Easter 2020 was a time of social distancing. Travel was restricted to necessary journeys only, people not from the family unit had to stay 2m apart. Even with all this the people of Newborough made the best from the situation and continued to bring joy and innovative ways of having fun and still abide by the restrictions. The Newborough Corona Virus Support Group headed by Wendy Sayer did a fantastic job of bringing cheer to many over 70's, vulnerable people, NHS workers in the village and many more with their fruit and Easter Egg boxes. Community work at it's best.
